Summer fellow Jenna Johnson accepted an offer to attend Georgetown University just this morning. A Hoover, Alabama resident and recent graduate of the University of Montevallo, Jenna is focused on supporting and promoting issues related to women, and where better to do this than in our nation's capital? Yet, her commitment to women's equality led her to the decision of deferring law school until after November's election.

I want to dedicate my career to helping women achieve the equality of opportunity they deserve, and I can't imagine anything else I could be doing right now that would help women more than getting our President reelected. President Obama has taken an unwavering stance on women's equality and I see his reelection as essential to women maintaining the equality they deserve and have had to work so hard to earn. Deferring law school was an easy choice because I feel I have the responsibility to do whatever I can to make sure the President is reelected.

Jenna's performance as a fellow led to an Obama campaign staff position in Pensacola, Florida. Congratulations, Jenna!
