Alabamians Join Floridians in Gainesville This Weekend
By on
Alabamians are suiting up in Florida this weekend, and it's not for SEC football. We're trading our shakers for clipboards and voter registration forms, and we'll be talking to supporters of the President on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dozens of volunteers will out in force registering students to vote and to answering questions about the President's accomplishments. President Obama understands that America has to out-educate the rest of the world to be competitive in the global economy, and his record on education shows that:
Student loan reform
Making college more affordable.
Supporting teachers and students
Partnering with states to raise standards
Investing in community colleges
Updating the post-9/11 GI bill
Ensuring all students have a path to college despite citizenship status
Volunteers are available on campus this weekend to assist you. What can you do? Ask questions. Sign I'm In cards. Register to vote. Talk to your family and friends. Volunteer your time. VOTE in November. President Obama has the backs of our students. Do you have his?
