    October jobs chart

"We’ve created 5.4 million new jobs, and this morning we learned companies hired more workers in October than any time in the last eight months … We’ve made real progress, but we’re here today because we know we have more work to do."
    —President Obama in Ohio

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported this morning that the U.S. economy added another 184,00 private sector jobs this October. Today’s numbers bring us to a total of 5.4 million private sector jobs over 32 consecutive months of growth.
