Obama supporters packed into the new Obama for America field office in Arlington last Saturday to hear the morning’s keynote speaker. Senator Mark Warner did not disappoint.

He was there to rally volunteers ahead of the national Voter Registration Weekend of Action designed to increase voter participation in November. The Senator had this to say.

“Last election was about changing the guard. This one will be about guarding the change.”

When pressed for his thoughts on the important issues this time around, Warner said:

“People have to remember what it was like 2008,” he said. “If you care about healthcare, student loans, and getting a fair shot, then we have to move forward.”

Take Sen. Warner’s words to heart and help protect the progress we’ve made—come out to an upcoming event with Obama for America-DC.
