• Community Organizer Gail C Is Building Neighborhood Teams for Obama 2012

House parties provide a great way for members of the community to congregate and talk about the importance of President Obama’s policy and the 2012 campaign. Local community organizer in Grand Rapids, Gail has been working tirelessly since 2008 to help Democrats, specifically President Obama get elected to political offices.

    Team meeting

On Thursday Gail hosted a house party at a local Lowell restaurant where supporters of the President met each other and are potentially starting a neighborhood team. During the meeting, new volunteer prospects were introduced to our grassroots efforts. Gail and guests talked about the importance of reaching out to supporters and empowering them so we can see President Obama continue his work which is helping so many middle class citizens have a voice in government.

“I didn’t know there were any supporters of the President or Democrats around here because it is so conservative, it is nice to meet you all, and I look forward to building from here,” said retired Jim who is more excited now than ever to be a part of this grassroots effort!

The house party was a place where everyone met and felt comfortable sharing their comments or just listening. Gail explained how easy it is to get involved and make a difference, hitting on the many ways for them to volunteer, even right from their own computer.
