Only a select group of people can say they've had an opportunity to interview the President of the United States.

But how many of them can say they were just 11-years old?

A few years ago Damon Weaver had this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sit down with President Obama—and the results were pretty memorable.

Now, Damon is volunteering for the President's reelection campaign. He has been canvassing in his neighborhood, registering voters, and spreading the word about the President's record on education.

"The President's done a great job helping the middle class be able to afford to send their kids to good schools. He should be reelected so we can keep moving forward, so he can finish what he started.

"Florida is a vital state. The President needs us. If we don't get out and make sure people vote, Mitt Romney could win. And that means President Obama won't be able to continue making college more affordable so that more kids can get a good education and be successful in life.

At Vice President Joe Biden’s events today in Florida, seniors came out to show their support for the candidate they’ll be voting for in a few short weeks.

Anita, Sylvia, and Harriet came to see Joe Biden because he’s a strong voice for the senior community. Rudy wants four more years because there’s too much at stake for every generation. Howard is voting Obama-Biden because he knows they are “making sure seniors are taken care of and can retire with dignity.”

Howard and Ricki of Boca Raton want “four more years of President Obama and Vice President Biden, because we spent our whole lives working and paying our fair share into Social Security” and because “Medicare is our right, not something that should have a cap on it or be voucherized.” And Dave wants Mitt Romney to know one thing: “The voucher system won’t work.”

Elizabeth has been voting and getting involved in politics her entire life—to support Republicans. But after she saw Barack Obama speak at the 2004 DNC she knew it was time for a change, and she hasn't looked back since.

Now at 78-years young Elizabeth is knocking on doors and registering voters in her Deerfield Beach community.

"I wake up every day to work hard and do what I can for the President. Lots of times that means going out with other volunteers in my area to register people to vote. It's important work because if someone isn't registered, then they can't cast a ballot to make sure President Obama is re-elected on November 6th.

"We should all be proud of what President Obama has accomplished—regardless of party. What he's done for health care, women, and seniors makes a big difference to so many people.

Barbara is a Neighborhood Team Leader in West Palm Beach and knows exactly what's on the line this November for Seniors.

As a Medicare beneficiary, she would be forced to pay up to $600 extra if Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan had their way and turned Medicare into a voucher program.

"I believe in Medicare and what the President has done for it.

I think seniors need to be informed on what could happen if Medicare were turned into a voucher program.

For me it means that I wouldn't have the health care that I need. I have a medical condition that requires frequent checkups and I know that just wouldn't be possible if the Affordable Care Act were repealed like Mitt Romney plans to do.

In my community I've talked to lots of people who are worried if Medicare is turned into a voucher program then there won't be anything left for their grandchildren.

Do you know what I tell them? You don't need to worry because President Obama is doing everything he can to secure a future for us and for our grandchildren.

Protecting Medicare

Dr. Benjamin has always registered to vote as a Republican, but that didn't stop him from casting a ballot for Barack Obama in 2008.

Dr. Benjamin understands the importance of Obamacare better than almost anymore: he's not only a medical professional, he's twenty years post-chemo himself.

"The pre-existing conditions clause is so important and a lot of Republican politicians don't understand how many people it helps.

"When I was going through chemotherapy treatments my premium would get more and more expensive every month. Luckily I could afford it but at one point I just stopped and thought to myself: this isn't okay—not everyone has the ability to pay this.

"The reason why I'm going to vote for Barack Obama again is not just because of what the ACA does for pre-existing conditions, but also for what it does to strengthen Medicare.

"As a doctor, I know that turning Medicare into a voucher system like Paul Ryan plans to do is just flat out economically unrealistic for seniors—they can't afford it.

"Mitt Romney has not been clear on any issues, whether it's what he plans to do once he repeals Obamacare, how he plans to balance the budget, or what his stance on women is. I'm voting for Barack Obama because he has a real plan.

Protecting Medicare

When Aryn went off to college at Florida State she worried about the financial burden it could place on her mom.

"For my mom to send three kids to college, especially two in the same year, it's hard. President Obama's doubling of Pell Grants and making student loans more affordable is going to help our family immensely."

After seeing firsthand how President Obama is fighting for students, Aryn decided to get involved with the campaign.

"I signed up to volunteer after my friend invited me to an office opening in Palm Beach. It was an amazing event. I knew I wanted to get involved so I used my summer at home to do something productive and life changing.

"President Obama is doing everything he can to help to Young Americans and middle-class Americans like me and my family. I don't want to leave college with a massive amount of debt, and a Romney presidency would mean exactly that.

"When Mr. Romney said you could 'borrow money from your parents' for school, I was shocked.

"I couldn't believe he thought that people who couldn't afford college should just ask for money from their parents. The reality of the situation is that my mother doesn't have money to just let me 'borrow.' President Obama is fighting to make sure that my parents can retire with dignity and aren't buried in debt just because they want me and my sisters to go to college.

"I'm sure Mitt Romney wants a better America, but you have to ask yourself, who does he want a better America for? President Obama is fighting for students, women, the middle-class, all kinds of people. That's why I'm voting for Barack Obama.
