The last presidential debate left a clear picture of the choice we face in this election. As commander in chief, President Obama leads with a steady hand and strong values. Mitt Romney, however, tried to hide his extreme foreign policy positions by pretending to agree with the President on issue after issue—once again proving why he is the wrong choice to lead our country on the world stage.
But Romney plans to take us back to the failed policies of the past on more than just foreign policy. As the President said, Romney wants "to import the foreign policies of the 1980s, just like the social policies of the 1950s, and the economic policies of the 1920s." In fact, when it comes to women's rights and women's health, Romney is propping up the most extreme positions in his party. His running mate Paul Ryan referred to rape as a "method of conception," and co-sponsored a bill with Rep. Todd Akin to redefine rape. And the only U.S. Senate candidate Romney has endorsed in an ad? Richard Mourdock, who said pregnancies resulting from rape are "something that God intended."
Learn more about Romney's attempt to craft an out-of-date, 20th century plan for the 21st century.
