More than 11,000 people came out this weekend in Las Vegas to listen to President Obama talk about the choice we face in this election—and to sing along to some hits from the Mexican band Maná. Check out some of the sights and sounds from the event.

Sara: “It’s a historic event—we have to come together and fight for President Obama.”

Anthony: “President Obama’s action on the DREAM Act was very important to really change the lives of many students—I believe the President can make great changes with four more years.”

Spanish language ads highlight President Obama’s commitment to issues important to Latinos

Yesterday, Obama for America released the first in a series of Spanish language television and radio ads. The ads feature Obama for America organizers sharing their personal stories of support for President Obama and how the President's policies have empowered Latino families and communities.

We will be featuring the ads on our blog in an effort to showcase individuals in the Latino American community who are involved in the upcoming election through voter registration, volunteering, and voting.

Today marks the official launch of Latinos for Obama.

President Obama has spent the first three years of his term working to restore economic security to the middle class and Latino community. He's kept nearly 2 million Latinos out of poverty, doubled the amount spent on Pell Grants so 150,000 more Latino students can afford their education. And by 2014, Obamacare will provide health coverage to 9 million Latinos who are currently uninsured.

That's progress, but it's only the beginning. Our community deserves a President who will act as an advocate and ally. Stand with President Obama to help make sure Latinos get a fair share and the chance to succeed in this country.
