Grace tells the story of her last few days at the convention as a "Front Row with Barack and Michelle" winner:
"After everything else we had gotten to do, on Wednesday, they took us to meet President Obama and the First Lady. As soon as they came into the room, my guest, Karen, and I just started crying—it was so overwhelming. But when it was our turn to speak to them, somehow we just felt calm. We spoke to them about immigration reform and about health care, and I told them a little bit about my daughter. It was so amazing.

Joe, a delegate from Colorado, and his sighted companion, Lynn, attended the Women's Caucus last Thursday.
Joe: I'm really enjoying the convention, thanks to Lynn who's getting me from here to there.
Lynn: We've been on the floor the entire time, all of the nights.
Joe: And it's great because it's the first time in my life that I've been with so many Democrats. I really enjoy it. I think there are some really important things we can all take away from here. The First Lady's speech on Tuesday was very passionate. And last night, President Clinton's speech really nailed it. He put the issues so succinctly and clearly.
I think the women here at the convention are some of the most powerful women. They're changing the world. And I hope to hear all the speakers today and tonight, and President Obama—I'm really looking forward to that.

"So far, I've been to the Native American Caucus, right now I'm here at Veterans and Military Families, and tomorrow I'm going to Rural Americans. I was on the floor last night for the First Lady's speech just screaming with excitement and energy! It's been fun.
"I love the Bidens. I come from a military family: My dad is a Korean War veteran, his brother was a Navajo Code Talker, my brothers are in the Marines, and so is my son. It's hard, as a mom, and it's nice to know Dr. Biden gets what our families go through."

We do, and we remember how fired up it got us.
“If we want to give [our children] that sense of limitless possibility,” the First Lady said, “then we must work like never before. We must once again come together and stand together with the man we can trust to move this country forward - my husband, our President, President Barack Obama!”
The Convention was great, and its speeches like Michelle Obama’s that get us fired up and ready to go, but we know it’s not the words of a few speakers that will determine this election; it’s the hard work by people like you.
It’s work like organizing nearly 8,000 grassroots events in the days following the Convention and the over 15,000 calls made recently by one team that will win this election.
So, from the President on down, we thank you for all that you do.

While Day Two of the Convention was largely defined by Bill Clinton’s powerful, point-by-point rebuttal of Mitt Romney’s failed arguments, Clinton’s address was hardly the only event.
Washington’s Patty Murray spoke, recounting her story “as a daughter, mother, a grandmother, and as a senator,” as did Sandra Fluke and a host of others.
With 57 days until the election, though, we don’t want you to just think about our past convention; we want you to go out and continue making a difference in your community!
So, pause, take a look at the road we’ve travelled, and commit to keep moving our country forward.

With last week’s convention come and gone, we’re fired up here at OFA Washington. We’re out every day fighting for the President and the middle class, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t take some time to watch the convention with our friends and fellow campaigners.
