• Women talking to women about this campaign

    Angela and her mom Denise

Fall Fellow Angela and her mom, Denise, make calls during our Colorado women-to-women phone bank in November.

I was completely inspired by the fellowship at the women-to-women phone bank at the Denver campaign headquarters in mid-November. Women brought cookies and muffins, and worked tirelessly together on the phones to talk about President Obama's accomplishments for us, and how important it is for us to get involved right now in this campaign.

I spoke on the phone with one woman who was personally touched by the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. We are going to meet soon to talk about her thoughts about the President's grassroots campaign here in Denver.

I also had a chance to visit with Betsy, who was the person who had the one MILLIONTH phone call in the country for the campaign, with a gentleman here in Denver who is getting involved in this effort for the first time. Betsy had not yet seen the video of the campaign director talking about her, and we watched it with one of her team members, who had a tear in her eye.

This movement needs everyone, and lots of everyday people. It was a wonderful experience to work with a bunch of committed, caring and excited women at OFA.
