This past weekend, D.C. residents were treated to a good old-fashioned Saturday afternoon of baseball and politics.
OFA DC registered voters and greeted fans as they made their way into Nationals Park. Numerous volunteers, including Stephen K. of Ward 3 took part.
“It is our civic duty to be a part of the Democratic process,” he said. “I’m out here to get others to do the same—to register to vote, to start thinking about the issues, and to talk about the future of this country.”
Our volunteers who were out at the ballpark are some of the President’s most loyal supporters. John W., also of Ward 3, echoed Stephen’s sentiment.
“We are fighting and scrapping for every vote,” he said. “If I have to get up at 3:00 in the morning every Saturday to make sure the President is re-elected then that is what I am going to do.”
To meet John, Stephen and other DC volunteers, come out to our next event.
