There are many things that happen during the course of a campaign that stand out. While few of them are remembered past Election Day, however. President Obama’s support for Referendum 74 is one of those moments that will be recalled long after November 6th.
To speak plainly, the President’s endorsement of same-sex marriage in May was one of the most spectacular moments of my life.
And then I heard this.
Now we have a President – the first sitting President to support marriage equality – asking Washingtonians to support our marriage equality Referendum at the ballot box. As a gay man, I can't begin to say how much the President's support means to me.
“I felt like he was always there, standing with me. I already felt like he has my back. Now, I know he does,” volunteer Steve R. said.
Please say thanks with me. Take an moment to volunteer for a shift to help reelect our President and ensure equality for all Americans. Together, we’ll make history.
