Obama focuses on change at New Phila stop

Speaking to a packed crowd under a blazing sun, Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama outlined his plans for change to an appreciative audience Wednesday at New Philadelphia. “If we don’t take our government back, then none of these changes are going to happen,” he said, his voice rising. “I need your help doing it. We’ve got 60 days.”...Obama then spoke about issues affecting women and families. He said he was raised by his mother under similar circumstances. The family struggled through his teen years, as she worked minimum wage jobs, scraping together funds until she could pay tuition. She went on to help with international aid agencies. “I owe all my success to her,” he said, adding that Neavin also will help the next generation.
