For 90 years, the vast majority of Jewish Americans have supported the candidates and the policies of the Democratic Party. In 2012 the community will again overwhelmingly support the candidate who reflects the community's values and ideals—President Obama.
President Obama has an outstanding record of strong support for the historic U.S.-Israel relationship. He has increased security assistance to unprecedented levels, which includes maintaining Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge. He has imposed crippling sanctions on Iran and has pledged to leave all options on the table to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. His policies in the domestic arena—addressing health care, women's health, education, energy, and the environment to name a few—are the same policies that are embraced by substantial majorities in our community. The contrast between President Obama's record and his Republican opponent's rhetoric could not be more stark.
Our job in 2012 is to make sure that Jewish voters are aware of the President's record and what's at stake for our country this November.
