Nearly everyone with Medicare now has access to free preventive services, including 33 million people who got free preventive care last year. Now, seniors have access to the care they need to stay healthy, including these and many more:

• Annual checkups
• Flu shots
• Cholesterol and blood pressure checks
• Mammograms
• Colon cancer screenings
• Bone density screenings

Until the health care law passed, Medicare’s funding was projected to run out by 2016.
